ClickFix is on the rise — here’s what to know

An increasing number of scams now mimic system error messages or security alerts, prompting you to “fix” an issue by pasting code into your browser. Known as ClickFix or FakeCaptcha attacks, these convincing tactics can grant cybercriminals access to your accounts. If you’re ever asked to paste something into your browser console — it’s a red flag. Don’t do it.
